The Fire Protection Association is an international fire safety organisation established in 1946 it is recognized as an independent and authoritative source of information and advice relating to all aspects of fire safety, risk management and loss prevention.

KEPSA is the apex body and single voice of the private sector, with a membership that comprises more than 60 Business Membership Organisations (BMOs) and in excess of 180 corporate organizations. The strategic focus for KEPSA is advocacy on behalf of the private sector on high level national cross-cutting issues, and the coordination of private sector engagement in public-private dialogue.

The Council has drawn on the Laws of Kenya, internationally accepted technical and systems specifications, and the professional experience of all member companies, to establish a set of benchmarks. In essence the body ensures, the customer who buys a security product or service should know exactly what it entails, and have an assurance that all reasonable steps are taken to ensure the system works – as intended, at all times.
